Fine dining and pub grub under the same roof, you could score a smoked meat sandwich, a plate of Asian fare… or an entrée of foie gras au torchon. But if you can’t make up your mind, just head for the buffet. Montreal Casino restaurants and bars cover every price range.

There is some opposition, with city councillor Craig Sauvé denouncing the project. He said it will serve “affluent clientele beautiful views of the Formula 1 track from the balconies of its luxurious suites, but it’s Montrealers who will lose out as they lose access to an entire sector in the centre of Île Notre-Dame.

Montreal’s spectacular Casino building was constructed for the world expo of 67'. The Montréal Casino, situated on the Île Notre-Dame, makes use of both of these wonderful buildings as well as an annex building that joins them together. The main building has five stories and features about 3200 slot machines and more than 120 gaming tables. There are also four restaurants, four bars, a cabaret, and meeting and banquet facilities.

2007-2016 To attract more patrons, the Casino de Montréal has redeveloped its Cabaret in 2016 in order to increase the venue’s capacity by 500 seats and transform it into an ambitious multi-use space that can be easily reconfigured to suit the different types of events it hosts. The design of the Cabaret du Casino has also been modernized to be in harmony with the architectural vocabulary used throughout the pavilions, which were renovated in 2009.
